
Hi! I am Rebecca, Chef, Baker and Lover of Halloween!
I initially trained and worked as a Chef when I started my career nearly 25 years ago, working in Restaurants, Hotels, Schools and Delis. It was fast paced and I loved it! I met my Husband who was also a Chef at work. After a few years I decided to dabble in some private work and one thing lead to another…..
My business started life as Vanilla Kitchen Catering back in 2006. Vanilla Kitchen Catering provided Dinner Party and Buffet Catering at an affordable price. I was making desserts and cakes for these events and soon noticed from my enquiries that there was a gap in the market for a company selling fresh homemade cakes and bakes, and, Rebecca’s Cakes was born!
These days I do both catering and cakes, including the ever popular Vintage Afternoon Teas.
I truly believe baking and cooking is my calling. When I am not working I am nearly still always in the kitchen, either cooking for family and friends or teaching my little nieces how to bake.
